Add a Linux computer

On Linux (x64 or arm64), or on a Mac if you prefer the terminal, one command installs the bridge and links the computer:

sh
curl -fsSL https://your-site/install.sh | sh

It:

  1. downloads the bridge for your system to ~/.coderail/bin/coderail and checks its SHA-256 checksum;
  2. adds ~/.coderail/bin to your PATH in ~/.bashrc and ~/.zshrc;
  3. runs coderail link, which prints a code and a link to approve the computer on your site.

Once you approve it, the bridge runs as a systemd user service (coderail.service) that starts when you log in and restarts if it stops. You're the computer's Owner.

WARNING

A systemd user service stops when you log out. To keep the computer reachable while nobody is logged in, run loginctl enable-linger $USER once.

If the computer is already linked, running the command again updates the bridge and restarts it.

Without a desktop

On a server with no browser, open the link coderail link prints on any other device where you're signed in to your site, and approve the code there.

See The coderail command for everything else.
