Users and invites
CodeRail has its own simple accounts: a username and password per person. There's no public sign-up: the first admin is made at /setup with the setup token, and everyone else joins through an invite link.
Invite someone
Admins: Settings → Users and invites → Invite, then New member link or New admin link, and send the link. It's valid for 7 days, for one person. Open invites are listed there, and you can revoke them.
The person opens the link and picks a username (2 to 32 of a-z 0-9 _ . -) and a password (at least 8 characters).
A new member sees no computers until someone gives them access to one; see Roles and permissions.
Admins and members
- Admins manage users and invites, and are treated as Owner on every computer.
- Members see the computers they've been given access to.
Manage users
Admins, in Settings → Users and invites: make someone an admin or not, disable an account (they can't sign in, and their sessions end), or delete it. Computers owned by a deleted user pass to the admin who deleted them.
Your account
Settings → Account: change your password, and choose light, dark or system appearance.
